THE SPECIALITIES  OF PROJECT

 

We forget to put OFF the soldering iron while using to make the project. This increases the electric consumption and soldering iron also gets oxidized. With this project we can avoid the electric consumption. This project can also be used in kitchen appliances, timer etc besides soldering iron.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND WORKING OF THE PROJECT

 

This project has been developed and tested by our readers and sent to the “T.V.Engineers Technical lab” for publication in the book. The spare parts and PCB of the projects published in the series of our book publication or available in the market. In this project the IC555 works as a monostable multi vibrator. When switch S1 is put ON the IC555 gets the trigger pulse and gives high output at Pin No.3. The relay gets energized and the condenser C3 (1000MFD) gets charged. In this condition the soldering gets AC supply through normally open contact. The ON time of soldering iron depends upon C2.(100MFD) and resistance R1(10Mega Ohms). This is kept 18mins in the circuit and after this time relay goes OFF and soldering iron stops working. The condenser C3 also get discharged. The buzzer sounds until condenser is not discharged.

PRECAUTIONS WHILE MAKING THE PROJECT

 

  1. Keep the PCB while soldering in clean position and avoid any shorting.
  2. Use IC base for IC.

Use good quality relay and ON/OFF switches.
