2B-WATER LEVEL CONTROLLER
THE SPECIALITIES OF PROJECT
This is a very simple and automatic water level controller project. Its main purpose is to put on/off the pump motor. Pump motor of water level controller.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND WORKING OF THE PROJECT
Inside the water tank there are two floats connected with sensors and they sense the water level inside the water tank. These floats operate the switches and motor is put ON/OFF. The sensor No.1 indicates low level and sensor No.2 indicates high level of water in the tank. The switches S1 and S2 are Leaf type Switches and in these switches there are moving contacts which breaks or joints.
As shown in the diagram the pump motor starts when switch S3 is put ON. When water level in the tank is low the P1 and P2 Leaf switches are in close position. In this condition the trigger Pin No.2 and reset Pint No.4 are connected to the ground and 12V supply. Now the output of IC555is high and transistor SL100 operates the relay. The pump motor is ON and water starts coming to the overhead tank. When the level of water in the tank is high the switch S1 of moving contact P1 is opened and 12V supply is connected to the Pin No.2 of IC555. Due to high level of water in the tank the moving contact P2 get opened and goes to the ground position. Now the IC555 is reset and its output goes to low position, the pump motor stops. Thus working of project works according to the water level in the tank.
PRECAUTIONS WHILE MAKING THE PROJECT
- Check the PCB and all connections of the circuit before putting the project ON.
- Fix the Leaf switches on the top of water tank.
- Fix the Floats inside the PVC pipe.
