You can use this project as a game. The special features of this circuit is that out of six L.E.Ds in the circuit , only those L.E.Ds will glow which correspond to your score. Also you can use this as Disc. This project is the modified version of the project published in our Tested OK Electronics Projects Vol-2.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND WORKING
This project has been developed and tested O.K. in our TV Engineers Technical Lab. The components and PCB used in the projects published in our books are available for sale at resonable price.
This project is an important contribution by the present day of electronics. Its working is based on Binary counter IC 7493. The information produced by the Timer IC is binary counted by the IC 7493. The L.E.Ds connected to the output of the counter IC indicate the score. The output pins of the binary counter IC are 12, 1, 9 and 8. In addition, two transistors BC148 x 2 are also employed in the circuit to reset the IC after the scoring is complete. When you push the play button, the information from the IC 555 reach the input Pin no 14 of counter IC. The first output of IC becomes high and L.E.Ds connected to these pin glow. The other L.E.Ds glow in a similar manner and indicate the score.
PRECAUTIONS WHILE ASSEMBLING THE PROJECT:-
*Check polarity of electrolytic capacitor while mounting on PCB otherwise reverse connection may damage it.
*While mounting transistor, you should connect collector , base & emitter properly.
*First of all check all the components as per circuit.
*Check +ve & -ve terminal of L.E.D. while mounting on PCB.
*Use IC base for mounting of the ICs otherwise IC may damage due to current leakage of soldering iron.
