You can use this project for decorating your house. You can also use this in temples as OFF/ON light and display in the shops.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND WORKING
This project has been developed and successfully tested O.K at TV Engineers Technical Lab.
The chasers available in the market use wooden drum and iron plates fitted with electrical motors. But this electronic chaser performs well with multi function. This can also be well controlled. The project given below employs IC 555 and CD 4017. A Trial has been used to handle heavy load. This kind of chasers are now easily available in the market.
The IC 555 is a popular IC and it can to used in any TTL or CMDS logic circuit.
Here the IC has been used as a multi vibrator. The output of IC 555 is fed to the input pin (pin No14) of IC 555 the CD4017 continues counting. The output of the IC becomes available at pin Nos 3,2 and 4 . The output pulse of any one of output pin triggers (puts ON)the Triac and current starts flowing across the load connected. This process co
ntinues on other pins at different time intervals and the cycle continues. The frequency interval of the cycle can be adjusted by the pre-set look connected to pin No 6 of IC 555.
PRECAUTIONS WHILE ASSEMBLING
1.Check all the components as per the circuit.
2.Avoid short circuit while soldering clean properly.
3.Use IC Base for mounting IC
4.Use resistances of exact value as indicated in the circuit
5.Connect anode and cathode of diode D1 in proper polarity.
