2B-OVER VOLTAGE A/C TRIPPER
This is a very low cost project and the gadget saves precious equipments operared on A/C
TECHNICAL DESCRIIPTION AND WORKING:-
This project has been developed and successfully tested OK in TV Engineer Technical Lab.
Now a days the AC voltage fluctuation has taken the shape of a curse. This fluctuation damages the house hold articles such as fridge, TV, Computer etc. This project has been developed to overcome such problems and save precious gadgets. Whenever there is voltage fluctuation and the input is more than the required voltage [pre-set], the gadget operates and disconnects the output saving precious articles. A zener diode performs the main function in the circuit. It keeps the TR1 [AC 128] in reverse bias. As long as the transistor is on reverse bias, it does not conduct. When ever there is increase in input voltage / over voltage, the increased voltage in the zener makes the transistor conduct, as a result, the relay operates, disconnecting output supply. The AC tripping voltage can be set by varing 4.7k Pre-set
PRECAUTIONS WHILE ASSEMBLING THE PROJECT:-
- Check all the components as per the circuit.
- Check primary and secondary winding of the transformer before connecting.
3.Check polarity of diodes and capacitors, collector, base and emitter transistor before soldering.
